STUDENT CONDUCT POLICY
AIT TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL LLC
1. Purpose
AIT Technology School LLC is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, safe, inclusive, and academically honest learning environment.
This Student Conduct Policy (“Policy”) establishes the standards of conduct applicable to students enrolled in AIT Technology School programs and describes the procedures the School may use to address alleged violations.
This Policy forms part of the rules and policies applicable to students under the School’s Enrollment Agreement.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to student conduct occurring in connection with AIT Technology School, including:
• live online classes and consultations;
• the School’s Learning Management System (“LMS”);
• Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google services, or other platforms used for instruction;
• student portals, chats, forums, messaging systems, and group projects;
• communications with instructors, mentors, administrators, staff, contractors, and other students;
• School-sponsored activities and events;
• use of School-provided software, licenses, accounts, systems, and educational resources; and
• off-platform conduct when it has a substantial connection to the School, its educational activities, its systems, or the safety or rights of members of the School community.
3. General Standards of Conduct
Students are expected to:
• Treat other students, instructors, staff, mentors, and School representatives with professionalism and respect.
• Follow reasonable academic and administrative instructions.
• Participate in educational activities without materially disrupting the learning environment.
• Use School systems, accounts, educational resources, and software only for authorized educational purposes.
• Provide accurate information and refrain from impersonating another person.
• Respect the privacy, intellectual property, personal information, and rights of others.
• Comply with applicable laws and School policies.
4. Academic Integrity
AIT Technology School expects all students to maintain academic integrity.
Academic misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
• plagiarism;
• cheating on examinations, assessments, projects, or assignments;
• submitting another person’s work as one’s own;
• allowing another person to complete work or assessments on the student’s behalf;
• unauthorized collaboration;
• falsification or fabrication of academic work, records, results, attendance, or information;
• unauthorized copying, distribution, or acquisition of examination or assessment materials;
• assisting another student in committing academic misconduct; and
• using artificial intelligence or other automated tools in violation of an instructor’s directions or the requirements of a particular assignment or assessment.
5. Use of Artificial Intelligence
AIT Technology School recognizes that artificial intelligence tools may be relevant to modern technology education.
Unless specifically prohibited by an instructor or assignment requirements, students may use AI tools as educational aids. However, students remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, understanding, and integrity of work submitted under their name.
AI-generated material may not be represented as independently created student work when an assignment or assessment requires independent performance.
The School may establish additional AI-use requirements for particular courses, assignments, projects, or examinations.
6. Harassment, Discrimination, Threats, and Abusive Conduct
Students may not engage in:
• unlawful discrimination or harassment;
• sexual harassment;
• bullying or targeted intimidation;
• threats of violence or physical harm;
• stalking;
• abusive, threatening, or seriously disruptive communications; or
• retaliation against a person for making a good-faith complaint, participating in an investigation, or exercising rights under School policy.
AIT Technology School’s Enrollment Agreement separately provides that students are entitled to equal access to programs, services, and resources without discrimination on the grounds identified in the Agreement.
7. Anti-Hazing
Hazing is prohibited.
For purposes of this Policy, prohibited hazing includes conduct connected with student participation in School activities that intentionally or recklessly creates an unreasonable risk of physical injury, serious mental harm, humiliation, coercion, or abuse.
Nothing in this section is intended to limit any broader protection or prohibition imposed by applicable law.
This provision is consistent with the anti-hazing prohibition already contained in the Enrollment Agreement.
8. Technology and Information Systems
Students must not:
• obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorized access to School accounts, systems, networks, data, or another user’s account;
• share passwords or access credentials when prohibited by the School or applicable license terms;
• intentionally introduce malware, malicious code, or other harmful software;
• interfere with or disrupt School systems or online classes;
• use School resources to engage in unlawful activity;
• attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures without authorization;
• access, copy, modify, delete, or disclose data without authorization; or
• use School-provided software licenses in violation of applicable license restrictions.
Nothing in this Policy prohibits legitimate cybersecurity exercises expressly authorized as part of School coursework.
9. Privacy, Recording, and Educational Materials
Students must respect the privacy of other members of the School community.
Students may not record, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit live classes, private communications, student information, instructional materials, or other School content except where authorized by the School, permitted by the applicable rights holder, or otherwise permitted by law.
Nothing in this Policy transfers ownership of student-created work to the School unless otherwise provided by a separate written agreement.
10. Prohibited Conduct
Conduct that may constitute a violation of this Policy includes, without limitation:
• academic dishonesty;
• material disruption of classes or School activities;
• harassment, discrimination, threats, or retaliation;
• unauthorized access to or misuse of School systems;
• deliberate damage to School systems, data, or property;
• falsification of School or academic records;
• impersonation of another student or School representative;
• theft, fraud, or other dishonest conduct materially connected to the School;
• violation of applicable law in connection with School activities;
• repeated refusal to comply with reasonable School rules or instructions; and
• encouraging, assisting, or attempting to engage in conduct prohibited by this Policy.
11. Reporting Potential Violations
Students, instructors, and staff may report suspected violations of this Policy to:
AIT Technology School LLC
2875 NE 191 Street, Suite 516
Aventura, FL 33180
Email: go@my-ait.com
Reports should contain sufficient information for the School to understand and evaluate the alleged conduct.
The School may request additional information when reasonably necessary.
12. Review and Investigation
When the School receives information suggesting that a student may have violated this Policy, it may conduct a reasonable review or investigation appropriate to the nature of the allegation.
Except where immediate interim action is reasonably necessary to protect persons, systems, records, or the educational environment, a student facing material disciplinary action will ordinarily receive:
• notice of the alleged violation;
• a reasonable opportunity to provide an explanation or relevant information; and
• notice of the School’s decision.
The School may consider relevant documentation, electronic records, communications, academic materials, witness information, and other reasonably reliable evidence.
13. Interim Measures
When reasonably necessary to protect safety, School systems, records, students, staff, or the integrity of an investigation, the School may impose temporary measures while a matter is being reviewed.
Such measures may include temporary restriction of access to particular systems, activities, communications, or classes.
An interim measure is not, by itself, a final determination that misconduct occurred.
14. Disciplinary Actions
If the School determines that a violation occurred, disciplinary action will be based on the nature and seriousness of the conduct, relevant circumstances, prior violations, and the impact on the School community.
Possible actions include:
• verbal or written warning;
• required corrective action;
• resubmission or other academic remedy where appropriate;
• loss of credit for work affected by academic misconduct, when consistent with applicable academic policy;
• behavioral or academic probation;
• restriction of access to particular School systems or activities;
• suspension; or
• dismissal/termination of enrollment.
The School is not required to impose sanctions in the order listed above. Serious misconduct may warrant suspension or dismissal without prior warnings, subject to the review procedures in this Policy.
This section should be read together with the Enrollment Agreement, which identifies violations of the Student Conduct Policy and academic dishonesty or other misconduct as potential grounds for termination.
15. Notice of Disciplinary Decision
For suspension, dismissal, or another material disciplinary action, the School will provide the student with written notice of its decision.
The notice should identify:
• the policy violation determined by the School;
• the disciplinary action imposed;
• the effective date, where applicable; and
• information regarding the student’s right to appeal.
16. Appeals
A student may appeal a material academic or disciplinary action by submitting a written appeal to go@my-ait.com within thirty (30) calendar days after receiving notice of the decision.
An appeal should identify the decision being challenged and explain the basis for the appeal.
Grounds for appeal may include:
• a material procedural error that could reasonably have affected the outcome;
• relevant new information that was not reasonably available when the original decision was made;
• a claim that the decision was not reasonably supported by the information considered; or
• a claim that the disciplinary action was materially disproportionate to the violation.
The appeal will be reviewed by a School representative who, when reasonably practicable, was not the sole decision-maker in the original disciplinary determination.
The School will provide the student with the outcome of the appeal in writing.
17. Student Complaints
A student who believes that School policies or disciplinary procedures have not been properly followed may submit a complaint to the School at go@my-ait.com.
Use of the School’s internal complaint process does not waive any right a student may have to submit a complaint to an applicable governmental or regulatory authority.
18. Relationship to Other School Policies
This Policy should be read together with the student’s Enrollment Agreement and other applicable School policies.
If a specific academic policy establishes additional requirements for a particular course, examination, project, technology, or learning activity, students must comply with those requirements.
If there is a conflict between this Policy and applicable law, applicable law controls.
19. Non-Retaliation
AIT Technology School prohibits retaliation against any person for making a good-faith report or complaint, providing information in connection with a review, or participating in an investigation or appeal.
Knowingly making a materially false allegation may itself constitute misconduct. A complaint that is not substantiated does not, by itself, mean that the complaint was knowingly false.
20. Policy Administration and Updates
AIT Technology School is responsible for administering this Policy.
The School may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulation, School operations, technology, or academic practices.
The current version will be made available through the School’s student portal or other official School communication channel.
For conduct occurring before a revision becomes effective, the School will not retroactively apply a newly adopted disciplinary rule to impose a more severe sanction for conduct that was not prohibited under the policy applicable at the time.
